The OG Bumblebee

I'm thrilled you're here!

Allow me to introduce myself:

My name is Dr. Scott, and I am the original OG Bumblebee! At first glance, I may strike you to appear like another "flamingo". While I will stress being a flamingo is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of! Flamingos are gorgeous, able to stand on one leg, and very docile and friendly creatures. I have heard there is a misconception that "flamingos can't fly." However, the opposite is true: they can fly and fly well. So, if you are a flamingo, continue to fly beautifully, my friend!

I, however, consider myself more accurately a "bumblebee". Scientists have long wondered how bumblebees can fly because it doesn't appear they should be able to due to the size of their wings in proportion to their bodies... but bumblebees do fly! They do this by uniquely using their wings at different times to create a tornado effect (air vortex)! By doing this, they can use their own superpower and their own uniqueness to adapt. They can fly; they have to use what they have uniquely in a way that works for them!

In addition to their unique ability to fly, bumblebees are very peaceful and resilient. They may seem intimidating and can sting, and they will live beyond stinging due to their unique barb, whereas honeybees will die from stinging.

I assure you I have always remained true to this bumblebee nature. I wear many hats in my passionate pursuit of knowledge and purpose. I am an unwavering advocate for our animal companions, a skilled veterinarian, a captivating public speaker, a dedicated educator, and a nurturing coach. But perhaps most importantly, I am a lifelong, ever-evolving student and teacher and eager to embrace new wisdom.

In 2021, I planted the seeds of what would become The Indigo Phoenix, driven by a vision to provide crucial support to innovative animal rescue efforts through education. What started as a tiny flicker of hope has become a radiant flame of change. The Indigo Phoenix Foundation emerged from this vision, a beacon of hope specializing in pet-related education and foster-based animal rescue for those in need. Looking back, it was undoubtedly one of my best decisions ever.

My commitment extends beyond the animal kingdom; I'm equally dedicated to guiding individuals and communities on self-discovery and self-mastery. I focus on empowering pet lovers and nurturing those extraordinary individuals I affectionately call "bumblebees."

Now, you might wonder, what exactly is a "bumblebee"? Picture this: a unique soul who has always radiated brilliance but, at times, dimmed their light to accommodate others. A being who's felt like they didn't quite fit in, yet their uniqueness is mesmerizing and captivating. These individuals are searching for their own field of bumblebees, and if you've ever watched the Blind Melon official video for "No Rain," you might just understand the essence of a bumblebee. It's a feeling that can't be put into words, but you'll know once you grasp it.

As for the tales of my personal journey, those treasures are reserved exclusively for members of our extraordinary field of bumblebees. Together, we'll embark on a remarkable growth, learning, and transformation journey. Welcome to The Indigo Phoenix Bumblebee family, where we embrace the extraordinary and actively celebrate the unique!

Yours truly,
Dr. Scott
